7-29-11 Day 2 R5AY and Pup

Aloha good people,
Just a quick update on our newest edition. Karen Turner reported the pup was nursing this morning so we were all happy to hear that.... and "it" is a very active little one..... guess it had a swim session and moved around the shore line quite a bit.... nice and active. Comments from everyone yesterday and today (people who are use to seeing pups) is this one seems bigger than most.... wonder why poor mom is so tired.
Dana and I finished off the pupping zone with the new green fencing and I am sorry I don't have a picture of it... hopefully someone with send in a shot. It certainly is nice to be away from the neon orange fencing.
Also we got to talk with one gentleman who witnessed the birth and did shoot some pics (with cell phone) but still it will be nice to see (he's suppose to send them in).... As this information becomes available I'll make sure to update you all. Until then enjoy the pics... ( I only have a couple from today between the rain and finishing the fence).  ~da blog lady~

I am proud to say that Donna and lots of helpful volunteers from yesterday and today have created a safe and esthetic pupping SPZ zone. We do have NOAA to thank for all the equipment and of course Turtle Bay Resort for all their support In getting us to the site. We have a great new tent for volunteers to be protected from the rain and heat. It was so much fun to work in this endeavor with everyone. A great team from the get go and already so many dedicated people signing up and helping. All the sweating, lifting, and getting the job done folks involved are so special. Welcome to the Oahu ohana little one.
