12/20/2010 DB Dailies

It was another one of "them" days. Lots of rain, poor to no visibility and limited looks at Rabbit Island. Buster was once again the only visible (just barely) resident of Rabbit Island. I found him just hauling out to 50 ft left of 1BS , on RI at 1009. He moved up and into the Morning Glory, and was still there when it cleared enough to see RI for a few seconds at 1313. He was my only find for today, despite lots of schlagging the beaches of the SE quadrant. He was identifiable only by his molt. No D#8 percentage was possible.

Team Billand checked in at 1033 to advise that Kermit was at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach at 1033. Kermit
has a new ding on his left foreflipper. The boys bleeds as much as I do.

In the yesterday's news department, I got email from Kelly Evans who braved the Turtle Bay area conditions yesterday to look for Ua Malie or anybody else that happened to be around. She suffered in vain, finding no critters, but was out there "outreaching" to anybody she came across in her travels. Thank you Kelly. I'm proud to serve on the front lines with you in the Monk Seal Army.

Kermit's new ouch
