12/19/2010 DB Dailies

That was a thoroughly miserable day out there folks. I ventured out into that dumping mess of a day on 3 occasions. Only the first trip was worth it. I managed to see Buster at 3BS, on Rabbit Island at 0759. Indentification was made purely by his molt. A D# 7 percentage was impossible. Those few moments were the only time that I could even see Rabbit Island today. I found no other critters anywhere in the SE quadrant.

Team Billand's first check in at 0850 reported zero, but fortunately they found Rocky at Kermit's Reef on the west side of the Nimitz jetty at 1430. She was their only animal.  (It's days like this when we two legged mammals, tend to stay indoors, or hurry about.... Maybe there are some brave souls who hit the waves or shoreline, but only a few in comparison to a sunny day... This has to be a seal celebration, hauling out where they want, when they want... no people to disturb them.  Life is good.)
