Irma Out at White Plains

Volunteers Dana and Bob responded to Miss Irma hauling out at White Plains this afternoon. They so graciously sent these photos of lovely Irma. Hmm no Kermit or Benny.... girl needs her rest.

And boy did she rest. Apparently from 9am when Jen was called. Bob and I arrived shortly after 11am, Alan, New Guy, was there, came back at 4:30PM when we left. Jen did great a great meeting with great volunteers. Meanwhile, Miss Irma slept thru it all. Not to mention when the Billands got there to put up all the signs in a great perimeter before we all even knew what was happening, heck they were probabaly there at sunrise.

Love the monk seal babes on the beach.

Irma La Douce. Such a beauteous babe. She's a heart stealer, that's for sure. No wonder Benny and Kermit (and all of us:) are smitten.

Actually, Alan isn't so new! He was a regular on the Mokuleia pupping and participated in the seal count. It was fun getting everyone together and Irma was on schedule for a nice White Plains drill. I guess she got the email too :-)
