DB Post Tuesday 1/13/2009

At 0735 I spied a suspicious looking little rock tucked up against the cliff and amongst the vegetation at the right end of the beach on Rabbit Island. At 0753 the rock scratched it's head. When I got back to Makai Pier at 1000 I found that , as I suspected, it was Kolohe. He would move down to the water front rocks but remained at that end of the beach , by himself, the rest of the day.

Also at 1000 I found that the cast had significantly increased. First there was RB08 at the left end of the beach, and then to the right of the 3BS I found a grouping of 3 animals, that would prove to be RIP, his younger brother , Mojo, and M38. They would remain there all day, with 10 ft separation. There was no observed interaction.

Ace Posse Person, Colleen Heyer called at 1320 with the report of Rocky at the Graffiti Bunker, Diamond Head.

The Billands came through with the usual gang out in the SW quadrant. At 1330 the reported Irma on the Honolulu side of the White Plains , left perimeter fence. There was evidence of another animal having been there, and they saw somebody swimming away in a west direction. At 1347 they reported Kermit at the Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach, but he was dry so that ruled him out as the swimmer. Barbara worked her way back toward White Plains, and at a distance, saw somebody hauling out along side Irma. It would prove to be Benny. Aloha, DB
