Karen Visits SanFran and Marine Mammal Center

Hi guys!
Thought you would enjoy a few pics of our trip to San Francisco. The sea otter was at the Monterey Bay aquarium. The Wyland whaling wall is at pier 39 in San Francisco. The sea lion sitting on the side of the pool is at the Marine Mammal Center. There is a picture of the elephant and harbor seal pool like what we need for monk seals. And there is a picture of the sea lion pool. They are still working on the new center which should be ready by March. Right now, they only have 5 animals...one with a shark bite arrived when I was there!!! Don't look at the last photo unless you want to see that!! I will send more pics of the sea lions in a different email. Take care!

Here they are. If you ask me, our monk seals are much more attractive! And they certainly wouldn't lay all over each other like these seals do! Notice the big guy "posturing" and tipping the floating dock over too!! Some were fighting for space on the docks and others just laid there. I noticed alot of scars and some molting too. I suppose their different colors has something to do with when they molt. ?? Cute...and noisy! You could hear them from Alcatraz Island!
