I had a bumper crop of critters at Rabbit Island . The day began with little RB08 up in the bushes at the right end of the beach. She would move down mid day allowing me to see the "RBOB Scoot", thereby proving it was her and not Sadie. As it turned out it was a no brainer because a bit later on Sadie hauled out in front of 3BS. It's not all that often that both of the girls are there at the same time. In addition to those two, there was Buster at th left end, and RIP along side M38 quite close to RB08 at the right end, but there was never any observed interaction between anyone.
On my Spitting Cave trek, I found R301 doing 5 minute dives in "victory at sea" conditions. He was not the least bit affected by the stormy slop.
Team Billand called at 1411 to report Irma and Kermit at Kalaeloa Campgrounds, but separated by several hundred feet. Irma was at the "Last Bench", and Kermit near " the Barrier".
I recieved two shots of animals that hauled out yesterday (1-14-09), which I will attach. They are R5AY at Laniakea (thank you Stacy) and Yoda at Ewa Beach (thank you TC whomever you are). It looks like Yoda is over his Diamond Adventure for a while. Aloha, DB

R5AY looks exhausted! They always look sleepy, but she looks particularly beat in that photo.
