Starting on the west side once again they were happy to find Miss Kala RH76. Also per Marilyn her pup PO13 on Rabbit Island is fat and healthy.  Kala was well hidden again making finding her a challenge, even knowing she was there if you looked away you would miss her.

Next they went to the outfall and there were no seals seen. The fishers told them that two seals were there early in the morning. So they

moved on and keeping an eye on the ocean for anything moving. Then a seal passed by them, it was the Unknown Adult again. It is so green and they still can't come up with an ID. They remembered how Kaale Rh32 was known for stealing fish. RL20 was another seal known to be a little thief. We all miss our beloved RH32 Kaale.

Team R&B made it out to plains and checked all the usual spots, but there were no seals. Then they noticed way down to the right was a

seal. It was R407 Kawika. They wonder if he's going to molt soon, since he's looking grubby.

They didn't find any other seals for the rest of the day. Their day ended on their way home the Makaha Valley gave them a beautiful rainbow. Team R&B felt this was in memory of a friend that passed.

August 31, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:09 to 2:15 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.

Not seen until 1 pm out on the rock flats on the Lanikai side of LPB was weaner PO13. Marilyn only saw the front third of her body but is sure this was her. She was gone by 1:37 pm and Marilyn did not see her again.

Down from the 3BS were two seals:

Adult Male: smaller adult size, male belly about 45% molted no visible tags.

Nearby was Weaner Unknown 1: weaner size, three tags and probably female. She entered the water at 12:10 pm and hauled out closer to the SRI at 12:38 pm

Initially on waterfront rocks near the SRI channel was Weaner Unknown 2: weaner size,, at least two red tags, unsure of sex. At 1:103 pm Marilyn found WU2 hauled out near WU1. WU1 & WU2 were near each other for almost an hour before one of the two weaners left.

Team R&B's first find today was at the outfall. They spotted the unknown mystery adult once again. They have been trying for days to figure out this green seal, it just hasn't given them much to work with. It's coat is very green, adult size and has a tag. 

Since they didn't see the second seal foraging at the outfall with the Unknown Adult they decided to check out paradise cove. Well well well, there was Aukai RL12 snoozing on shore. Team R&B adjusted the signs a little, since they were too far to the left.

Next stop they headed over to plains to see if any seals were there today. It appears RT06 is still away filling his belly. But onshore was Kawika R407 resting peacefully.

In spite of checking several beaches these were the only critters they came across today.

August 30, 2026 Sunday's Dailies

Starting their morning on the west side they found that Miss Kala RH76 continues to hide from the males. She was so well hidden they almost missed her.  

They spotted an adult seal foraging on the rest camp side. They waited but the seal didn't land.

Next they headed over to plains. According to Team R&B, apparently RT06 Marvin went on a fishing expo. But Uncle Kawika R407 was in his spot on shore. R407 was resting peacefully.

It took them a while to make their way back to the west side. They stopped at the outfall and they spotted two seals foraging. Because of the glare form the sun they weren't able to focus the camera to get an ID. So today it's just two Unknowns.

They did get to see some of the dolphins doing what they do best.

August 29, 2026 Saturday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:18 to 2:57 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.

In the middle of LPB were two seals:

Recent Weaner PO13: large weaner size, female belly and not tagged yet.

Weaner Male: weaner size, male belly and probably three tags. This could be RV68.

Down from the 3BS was an Adult Male: small adult size, male belly, no visible tags and about 20% molted.

Out on RRB was a Juvenile Female: juvenile to small sub-adult size, light female belly, at least two red tags.

Team R&B started on the west side their first find was the lovely Miss Kala RH76. She was well hidden and looking a little thin, but okay.

Also on the west side was Kai RM31 laying down on the hot rocks. He is looking healthy and handsome with a friendly crab on him.

Over by the outfall were two seals foraging. The bigger seal and the other was the mystery green seal. They were able to ID the bigger seal as Aukai RL12.  Both seals heading in the KoOlina direction.

Next stop was at plains, where they found RT06 Marvin. He was resting peacefully and is just one adorable little guy.

Heading back to the west side they decided to make a stop to see if

RS32 was around. And they were thrilled to find her again. She is a big girl, with a clean coat, perhaps she went through a molt recently.

Their next stop was at cliffs where they spotted two seals. Needless to say they were quite happy. The first one is a very green RP30, with his right side puka.

And then there was a newly molted Lei Ola RH48.

Then much to their surprise there was another seal. It was in the water bobbing up and down at all the inlets. They watched trying to get an

ID, the seal passed by RH48 and RP30 who were on the rocks. Then the seal went through a crevice and hauled out. It galumphed over the rocks. Finally Team R&B saw there were no tags, and a scar over the seals eye area, which gave them enough info to ID RG32.

They called it a day after this long hot walk.
