On my 4th check of Sandy Beach, at 0741, I found Kea (RN46) snuggled into the Naupaka at the Sandy Beach outfall. I cordoned him off. He would move down mid day, and has remained the rest of the day. Gayle called at 1721 to advise that Kea was gone.
At 1301, posse member Linda N., called with the report of what she believed to be Rocky at Irma’s Grotto, Kokee Flats, behind her house. When I arrived at 1320 I confirmed the Rocky (RH58) ID by her the ventral side of her LFF natural bleach, and the partial CC scar above her right, front nipple. She would depart at 1748.
A Spitting Cave posse member called at 1646 with the report of an animal. When I arrived at 1452 I saw two , probably juvenile U/U swimming heads heading out and around the point headed east. No ID was possible.
Team Billand called at 0714 to advise that posse member Rich had reported an animal at #1708, White Plains. The confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID at 0728. He would depart at 1650.
At 0956 the Billands called to advise that they had gotten a call from Dana about 2 animals at Nanakuli. At 1130 they confirmed the Kolohe (RW22)&Pohaku (RO28) ID at “Depots” , Nanakuli.
At 1428 the Billands found Haupu (RB24) at Nanakai Beach, Maili.
In the Yesterday’s News department, Diane Pike sent shots of Duke (RA12) from yesterday’s trek. Thank you Diane , Ya’ Done Good !!!!
