12/28/2014 DB's Dailies: RM38&Aukai@RI, Kea@LL, Rocky@KK, Pohaku@Secrets, Benny, RIP&Haupu@ WP

The day got under way at 0630 but it would be 0933 before critters got involved. At 0933, on my 2nd look at Rabbit Island, I found what would prove to be RM38 & Aukai (RL12) playing in the shore break, 50 ft right of 1BS. They would haul out, with Aukai in the lead, at 0958, and remained the rest of the day.

At 1306 posse member Linda Nichols called with the report of Rocky at Irma’s Grotto, Kokee Flats. She got the ID by the N11, and natural bleach on the LFF. When I arrived at 1317 I confirmed the Rocky (RH58) ID.

Posse member June K., called at 1317 to advise that diver posse member Paul H., had reported an animal at the Lanai Lookout cove, as well as another U/U in the water, moving to the east, on one of his dives. When I arrived at 1341 I found Kea (RN46) at the LL cove. Thanks Paul.... Ya’ Done Good !!

At 0717 Team Billand called with the report of Pohaku (RO28) on the rocks between Secrets & Lani’s. Volunteer Terri would report Pohaku’s departure at 1426.

At 1015 the Billands found Benny (RE74) at the fence line, White Plains. Benny would depart at 1815.

At 1120 the Billands reported the arrival of RIP (RR70) to #1707, White Plains. He would depart at 1149.

The Billands called again at 1356 to advise that Glenn Cober had reported Haupu (RB24) fronting Tower#1, White Plains. Haupu would depart at 1830.

Lesley & Marilyn did the End of the World trek as per usual on a Saturday. They went in from the west side. They found Ka’ena (RO40, RK36 & RW02 all together at the Main Pool , at Ka’ena Point.
In the Yesterday’s News department, Kimo Smith did the KP trek yesterday, and found Ka’ena (RO40)& RW02 on the back beach, and BG (R303) just outside the fence line on the Waianae side, and Luana (RN58)at Hidden Beach.
