The dynamic duo at Iroquois Point... still together
Today the Santa Cruz KP2 Research Team wanted to experience monk seals in the wild.... I know they got to see Kaiwi earlier in the day at Irma's.... and now they are gifted by seeing Kermit and Irma together.... I also just realized they actually got to see mother and daughter, just not at the same time.
Looks like there were some action shots... Kermit and Irma having some words.
Dr. Terrie Williams with the cool sneakers, and Dr. Casper DVM
AND the entire team... Beau and Tracy KP2's trainers... Dr. Casper, and Dr. Williams
I personally can't thank them enough for all the wonderful work they did with KP2, taking good care of him, learning about our Hawaiian monk seals.... and most of all recognizing how dam special Ho'ailona is!

Schofield called asked to see seals in their wild environment per KP2 Crew members...we knew of Kermit and Irma out at Iroquios. Called Clay to make sure the seals were still there, called David back, we met and drove to site. Clay waiting for all of us to arrive, took us to the grassy area, through a property, and luckily, both seals were still snoozing. Noaa Team got their looks, photos and some explanation on the seals, then off they went. But right after they all left, Irma and Kermit had a little spat, then Irma took off, followed by Kermit, who usually rolls into the water. But he went from O to 60 to follow Miss Irma. So funny...there was no more interaction that we could see and we lost site of them..4:03pm. So glad the seals cooperated!!!! I love it when things have great endings. So long NOAA Team..God Bless!! Once again, thank you for all your hard work and study on our Hawaiian Monk...KP2..HO AILONA. He seems quite happy and healthy..perfect!!!
