12-14-2013 DB's Dailies: RM38,Kolohe,Kaiwi&Aukai@RI, Kea@LL, Kermit,Makaiwi,Benny&Buster@WP, Pohaku@Sec, Ka'ena,Kerby,RW02,RIP&Luana@KP, RK36@Mokuleia

On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0714 I found what would prove to be RM38 & Kolohe (RW22) together in the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS, and Kaiwi (RK96), 70 ft right of 3BS on RI.
When I got back to Makai Pier at 0916 all had moved down near the water line for the day. On a pan I found Aukai (RL12) on the water front rocks of Rocky Right Beach.

At 1158 Gayle called with the report of "the little dude", Kea (RN46) once again at the Lanai Lookout Cove. (Sorry about mislabeling yesterday’s Kaiwi shots at the same location). Kea would depart at 1615.

At 0629 Team Billand reported Kermit (R012) & Makaiwi (R4DF) together fronting #1708. At 1155 they would call to report the arrival of Benny (RE74) to join the other two at #1708.

At 0654 the Billands found Pohaku (RO28) at Secret Beach, KoOlina.

Ocean Safety called with the report of an U/U at Maili Beach Park. The Waianae Xmas parade had the road closed down so access was not immediately available. Awaiting further word. At 1642 Team Billand advised that the animal was Haupu (RB24).

Marilyn checked in at 1125 to advise that she, Lesley, Kimo Lyman & Ken were at Ka’ena Point. . She reported finding a newly molting RK36 to the Mokuleia side of the Mokuleia birth beach site.

At the point they found Ka’ena (RO40), RIP (RR70), Luana (RN58)& RW02. It looked like a pretty active day with RIP & Luana spending quality time together, with Kerby & RW02 horning in. Ka’ena couldn’t be bothered.

Team Billand called at 1727 to advise that Buster (RV08) had hauled out to #1708, and that the usual chaos was in progress.

Last week, for six days, I searched the marine base where she was last seen. No sign of her.
