At 0740, on my first look at Rabbit Island I found what would prove to be Kolohe (RW22) to the left of 1BS. He would later move down to cool off allowing the ID.

Posse member Teri called at 0851 to advise that Kea (RN46) was on his usual rock perch at the cove at Sandy Beach. I cordoned him off . Gayle called at 1640 to advise that Kea was departing. Mahalos toTeri, Melanie & Gayle.

At 0636 Team Billand reported Benny (RE74) & Makaiwi (R4DF) together at life guard Tower#2 , and Buster (RV08) fronting #1760. As has been the case of late, Buster did is usual departure at 0648, only to return to the others at 0727. As usual chaos ensued, with lots of movement. The Billands reported at 0818 that the gang was now near the showers. It sounds like there was lots of action. Vera reported Buster interacting with Makaiwi 4 times, and Benny twice, before leaving again at 1030. The Billands reported his return at 1533, more action, and again he departed at 1615.

At 1143 Hanauma Bay called to advise that they had gotten a call about an animal Sunset Beach. I notified the Hotline. Dana called at 1654 to advise that Don had gotten the RI37 ID.

At 1224 Dana called with the report of an animal at Turtle Bay near Right Spot’s Spot. At 1339 she reported that Don had confirmed La’akea (RK82). ID was by tag.

Lesley called at 1615 with a report from the end of the world. She reported RIP (RR70), Ka’ena (RO40), RW02, Luana (RN58), Nihoa (R912) and an appearance by BG (R303) at Ka’ena Point.. BG had last been seen on 10-5-13 while molting at KP.

The Billands found Kermit (R012) at Kermit’s Reef, at 1635.

Oh Benny !  There aren't words....
Times like this you want to just go over and help them out and peel off some that for them... must be super itchy
maybe rolling around little bit will scratch some away
look its a bird fish, it's a plane submarine... its' Buster!

I came home very late last night so my report didn't make it on time for the blog ;)

I forgot to add on the report was that we did find a big tangle of caution tape at the top of Back Beach near the Naupaka and on a seal trail. We picked it up and brought it out. The seals have been going up high and around the top Naupakas from Back Beach and over down to Main Beach - the usual winter behavior due to high surf or molting
