DLNR ASKS PUBLIC’S HELP TO KEEP SEAL PUP WILD AND SAFE

Why:        The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) and NOAA is asking the public to comply with state and federal “no feeding, no approach” rules to protect a young Hawaiian monk seal pup that has recently been seen in locations along Oahu’s south shore. A news release with links to still images and video of the seal will be provided. Harbormasters have been notified and will assist with posting signage in south shore harbors.
