At 0555 I was trekkin' down Makapuu Beach, to cordon off my friend Irma at the far right end. The tides were such that nearly nobody even knew she was there. A witness advised that Irma departed at 1148 when the rising tide made staying longer an impossibility. I picked up the equipment at 1255.
On an 1800 SE Quadrant recheck I found Irma , once again tucked in amongst the Irma sized rocks at the far right end of Makapuu. It looks like another trudge is in tomorrow morning's travels.
At 0826 I found what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) at Seal Rock Inlet. I believe her to be my U/F from yesterday.
At 1008 I became aware of an animal behind the water front rocks of Rocky Right Beach, on RI. It would take a while but it would prove to be Kolohe (RW22).
At 1025 on a pan I found what would prove to be a very green Nani (RK60) just hauling out to Left Point Beach.
At 1206 I became aware that there was another animal with Kolohe, partially visible a Rocky Right Beach. It would prove to be Duke (RA12), at 1213.
Team Billand called at 0655 to report that Benny (RE74) was just hauling out fronting #1705, Nimitz Cottages. The boy departed Sandy Beach yesterday at 1049. The Billands later advised that cabin posse members reported that Benny departed at 0930, and hauled out again fronting #1701, Nimitz Cottages at 1130.
Lesley checked in at 1104 to advise that she was with R5AY&Pup at Turtle Bay. She hiked the rest of the area, and reported on other animals.
Dana called at 1732 to advise that RL42 had been reported at the Ka'ena Point parking lot nook that she seems to favor.
Also at 1732 Dana advised that Colleen was on her way to check out a reported Diamond Head animal. Colleen confirmed Rocky(RH58) at 1750.
