1/17/2010 DB Dailes

At 0715 , from Makai Pier, I found what would prove to be M&M just hauling out 100 ft right of 1BS, and the kids, Duke and Mikala together up in the grass at the far right end of the beach, on Rabbit Island. All would move down to cool off through the day, and all would remain at those locations. I'm happy to report that despite heavy kayak and surfer traffic around Rabbit Island there were no incursions through the observation period.

Team Billand called at 1030 to report Kermit at Kermit's Reef on the west side of the Nimitz jetty, and also passed on that a friend of theirs had seen N3, Irma at Hau Bush, Ewa Beach, at 0830. The Billands would confirm the Irma ID at 1130. Barbara called at 1611 to advise that Kermit had been run off by fishermen at Kermit's Reef.

My much better half did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and reported Ka'ena as the only observed critter at the end of the world. She also spent the day with Joanna Tabor. I'm sure she has been serving in anonimity all along, but it was the first reported Joanna sighting in quite a while.
