On my 2nd pass through Sandy Beach at 0659 I found Right Spot waiting for me at the east end of the beach in her usual spot. I cordoned her off and have checked her throughout the day.
At 0930 , from Makai Research Pier, I found Kolohe and Duke together at the right end of the beach on Rabbit Island. They have remained there all day, with no observed interaction. The strong NW, cold winds made getting shots of the RI cast, very difficult. There is severe heat wave distortion just above the water with the cold winds, so crisp clean shots are impossible. Even finding small detail on the critters was difficult.
At 1356 I found M&M doing 10 minute dives at Blow Hole.
Team Billand called at 0829 to report Kermit at Kermit's Reef on the west side of the Nimitz jetty. The next call came at 0950 reporting Irma hauling out to the east side of the east end perimeter fence at White Plains. At 1140 they advised that Benny had hauled out to join Irma. The Billands called again at 1328 with the report of Ewa Girl at Palm Grove, Campbell Industrial Park, and lastly, checked in at 1447 with the report of RI37 at Tracks.
