My first pass through all SE quadrant spots was a bust, but when I got back to Makai Pier at 0915, Rabbit Island was jumpin'. I found Mikala by herself on the far left end of the beach, and M&M with M38 to the right of 1BS. Kolohe and Mojo were playing in the water fronting M&M and M38's location. They hauled out and Mojo and M38 had words as the jockeyed for prime position with Kolohe. Ultimately, Mojo was do the typical slow, macho roll away from M38 and joined M&M just a few feet away. There was no further interaction and all cast remembers snoozed away the day.
Team Billand called at 1036 reporting Kermit at "Kermit's Reef" on the west side of the Nimitz jetty, and then called again to report Ewa Girl amongst the rocks at Palm Grove, Campbell Industrial Park.
At 1630 Karen Bryan called to report an animal at MCBH today. Photos show it to be our girl KC (RK28). She was last photographed by Karen again, on MCBH on 7-19-09, and reported by The Donna on the Mokes on 7-21-09
Team Billand called at 1700 to report that Kermit had departed NIM. They also reported what is at this writing , an U/U on the east side of the Nimitz jetty. Photos were inconclusive.
A call at 1720 from posse member Shawn advised that an animal was just hauling out to the main beach at Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1730 I found Right Spot and cordoned her off. Her N6 bleach was barely visible. Right Spot was still there at 1945. An overnighter is a distinct possibility given the time of her haul out.
