The bumper crop of campers on this 3 day weekend insured that interactions would occur. Mostly they were minor, and people were kinda’/sorta’ respectful, but there is always that one guy that can’t spell class, let alone have any. He and his family were at least egregious with their contact with both animals. Somehow both seal got through those moments , and remained all day, despite tons of people. Thankfully, Gayle & later HMMA got there and put in a long, hard day.
Rabbit Island was bare on my first look, but at 1025 , an 80% molted Buster (RV08) hauled out 80 ft right of 3BS.
At 1120 on a pan I found what would prove to be (RM38) at Seal Rock Inlet.
At 1126 on a pan I found Kea (RN46) just hauling out to the left end rock flats.
Team Billand checked in at 0837 with their report of finding Rocky (RH58) at Iroquois Point.
