At 0938 a group of 4 would haul out together fronting 1BS. They would prove to be Kea (RN46), A/M Unk, RM38 & a J/M Unk. When I got back to RI observations at 1035 I found that Kekoa (RK72) had joined the group.
Rabbit Island observations were put on hold, as I did a routine check of Kaupo Beach Park, with the scope, at 0927. I had checked KBP on my way to the pier earlier, and found nobody, but now I spied the upper body of a small animal just hauling out near the pump house at KBP. It would prove to be Kawena (RH36) for day two of her KBP adventure. HMMA was on it and cordoned her off. She remained all day.
A Gina Walker text at 0903 brought word and photo of Rocky (RH58) at Queen’s in Waikiki. I noticed in Gina’s photo that being the beach girl that she is, Rocky had brought her own beach mat. It was not difficult then to see that Instagram also had Rocky shots, the beach mat visible in all of them.
The Donna forwarded shots from Moku Nui today showing a cast of 3 animals. Though strictly speaking it will have to be 2 A/F & an A/U, recent history as well the figures of the two beach animals, Nani & Right Spot and at the top of the list. The animal on the rocks is impossible. The small size of the shots did not allow for enlargement to get a better look.
Team Billand checked in at 1040 with the report of RIP (RR70) at Maili Point. At 1319 they advised that Kerby (RW08) had joined RIP.
