6-22-2014 DB's Dailies: Buster@BH&SB, Kolohe@LL, Kaiwi@CW, Duke&Pua@RI, RL42@Makua Cliffs,

At 0640 I found Buster (RV08) doing 4-7minute dives at Blowhole. He did not come up for his 0740 up. At 0756 posse member Martha called to advise that she was watching an animal haul out to the east end of Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 0810 I found, and cordoned off Buster (RV08). He has remained the rest of the day. Buster did his ever so slow roll to the sea at 19:37.

At 0743 Marilyn called with the report an U/U for one up at Spitting Cave. No ID was possible. She stayed an additional half hour but did she the critter again.

At 0747 Kimo Smith called with the report of Kolohe (RW22) at the Lanai Lookout Cove. I confirmed the ID at 0756.

At 0900 I found Pua (RF34) just hauling out to the Left Flats, at Rabbit Island. When I got back to RI at 1250 she had relocated to Right Greenery.

At 1140 Melanie called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls.

At 1200 we found Kolohe (RW22) on Buster Flats, to the east side of the Lanai Lookout. He has remained the rest of the day.

At 1316 I found Duke (RA12) just hauling out to join Pua at Right Greenery on RI. They would both enter the water at 1131. Pua gave him the slip quickly thereafter. She hauled out to the Left Flats and 1355, while Duke patrolled the beach front, head bobbing all the way looking for her. He finally gave up and hauled out for a snooze at Seal Rock Inlet.

Team Billand called at 1248 with the report of RL42 at Makua Cliffs on the West Side. They also saw a Russian gazillionaire’s yacht off the coast.

Last but not least I saw Kimo Smith this morning and he advised that he had shots of Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach from Wednesday (6-18-14), which he forward to me.

 pua and duke
  buster
 Kaiwi

Kolohe
and then a big wave came and washed them away.... really what are they thinking.
 Luana from 6/18 (last wednesday)
 RL42 at Makaha Cliffs
wonder if we can get a message to them and ask if they want to donate to help the monk seals?
okay then maybe....  they can charge people to tour their yacht and then donate the money.
