The Klan was Kaiwi free today, however Dera did provide a
map of Kaiwi's whereabouts since we last saw her, at Lanai Lookout on 2-13-12.
She appears to have gone off to visit Colleen in the Diamond Head area, and as
of last night's cell call, appears to be just east of the Kahala area. Tomorrow
?????
At 0711 I found RIP (RR70),
60 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island, and Buster (RV08) at the right end of the
beach. Both would remain the rest of the day.
At 0933 Team Billand checked
in with the report of Kermit (R012) fronting #1708 , White Plains.
At 1040 they found Pohaku
(RO28) at Maili Point, right where she had been yesterday. They also spotted
another seal in the waters off shore, which they would identify as M&M
(R020), when she hauled out at 1120.
Karen Bryan called at 1444
to advise that one of her posse had called reporting a "small" seal with tags "J
something" (no way). She advised that she was responding. At 1550 Karen checked
in with a confirmed ID on T21M (R7GY), at "General's Beach", MCBH. Thank you
Karen....Ya' Done Good !!!
In the Yesterday's New
department, posse member Ken Tingman did the Ka'ena Point trek yesterday
(2-16-12) and sent proof of 761, Ka'ena (RO40), Kerby (RW08)& R018 (6FA) at
the end of the world. The R018 find is especially interesting because the boy
has not been seen since the Billands sighted him on 7-29-11. He is known to make
extended Kauai runs. Welcome home, fellow gnarly ol' dude !
Team Billand reported Rocky
(RH58) at access 186B, Ewa Beach, at 1642.
