2-22-2012 Team Billand

Kermit @ Nimitiz Beach... interesting perspective - looks like Kermit is at the end of the world
 Old dude 2AW at Tracks
2AW/2AZ  - Just when I think I understand the number system.... I am thrown off again. Okay 2AW seems to me the other tag would be 2AX  .... 2AZ would be partner to 2AY.  So does anyone understand why 2AW has a 2AZ tag?
Maka'iwi 4DE/4DF  makes sense to me
WOT!!! yellow tape?  NO Fear... our volunteers are on it.... swapping out that nasty plastic with some rope. Thank you team Billand :-)  and helper.
 pretty Maka'iwi
RO28 @ secret beach looking lean and mean
 okay not mean, just lean
Here let me run up to a wild animal!  tsk tsk tsk
Dude should be more concerned with getting some sun block on his back
Okay so RO28 had it, she's leaving

Since Yellow Tape issue is so big out at KoOlina, We GAVE OUR ROPES TO KOOLINA Security...there, we done it ourselves..switched the dam thing. Apologized to Security after THEY took the time and effort to tape off the seal...sorry, NOAA does not like YELLOW TAPE..Security was ok with that. Three of us worked together to put out the ropes, then, Makaiwi left a few minutes later, after we made the new zone.

Poor Pohaku was not getting the much needed rest she needs. Too many folks after that cutesie shot for their facebook. Got to get to the other side...got to...but we let the folks pass in FRONT OF THE SEAL...no room to pass above her. If a pathway could be worked out to pass the seal safely...that would be the answer for Pohaku's .... REST. It is hard to watch folks, run past her, walk slowly to get that shot of her, folks who stand in front of her...where is the quiet she needs??? Its a very small beach...and the seals love to lay, dead center of the beach. Kermit done it, I37, Max (where ever he may be). Now Pohaku...tsk. tsk.

I wish we could wave the magic wand, for all the people at KoOlina, so they can just observe the seal, keep a low voice, respect

Oopps...I fell a sleep while making a comment..so..I must finish this...

Thanks to Vera for taking care of Makaiwi...appreciated.

Thanks to security for putting up with us, and understanding about the Yellow Tape. Sorry.

KoOlina, its a beautiful place, just beautiful and the monk seals just love it there. We do our best in protecting them, so they CAN get REST. Dont know what else to say or do...If the area they land on was just larger or a spot cleared to go around that would be perfect.

We thought there were just two seals at KoOlina, but someone told us around the other lagoon was another. No one told us about that one...OH shoots...missed it.

Oh by the WAY, FOR SOME REASON, I CANT GET IN TO THE BLOG, OTHER THAN BEING ANON...SO...I am Barbara...OK??? Thank you very much.
