At 0903 Team Billand checked in with the report of Lei Ola (RH48) & Benny (RE74) at Makua Cliffs.
At 0914 Marilyn did the End of the World trek from the Northern route to Ka’ena Point. There also it was lots of rain and fun hours. She reported R3CU at the Main Pool, and the only find for KP.
At 1250 Team Billand reported Ka’ale (RH32), at Kahe Point. At 1317 the Billands happily found Pohaku (RO28) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds. It seems like years since we any of us heard that location.
A text from THE Donna, advised that multiple kayak tour people advised her that Nani was not seen at all at Moku Nui, with just the pup reported. There is no word at all from any statement from NOAA or volunteer group . I’ve seen nothing at limited sites. Awaiting further word.
If PO2 is weaned before PO1, then maybe PO2 is really PO1 LOL!! In all seriousness the summer season is upon us... I hope that NOAA decides to relocate this weaner... and soon. I know from past history it's not a favorable decision and certainly not an easy one... but with the crowds that go out there and a curious little weaner.... I suspect she'll get herself into some kind of trouble. Fingers crossed.... they already have something in the works.
