10/2/2015 DB's Dailies: Kaiwi,Kea,Kainoa,Kekoa&UM@Rabbit Island, Luana@Hidden Beach, RW02&RIP@Ka'ena Point, Pohaku@Keaau's, RL42@Makua Cliffs, U'ilani@Maili Point

On my first look at Rabbit Island I would find what would later prove to be Kaiwi (RK96) just moving down from the Morning Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS.

On a pan at 0916 I found Kea (RN46) tucked into the base of the cliff, a mid Middle Cliff. I stick with 20 % molted. His right fore flipper appeared bright and white and perfectly normal today.

Three males would arrive to Kaiwi’s location at 0959. They would prove to be Kainoa (RN04), Kekoa (RK72), and the same U/M of the last few days. I was still unable to get an ID. While the boys were all sound asleep , Kaiwi would sneak off at 1300. The guys never had a clue.

Lesley M., called at 0959 to advise that she had found Luana (RN58) at Hidden Beach, and RW02 & RIP (RR70) at the main pool, Ka’ena Point. Tammy T., had been out there also, and sent shots of today’s KP cast.

1211 Team Billand advised that they had gotten a Dana call about an animal at Keaau’s. They would confirm the Pohaku (RO28) ID.

At 1315 the Billands reported RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

At 1503 they found U’ilani (RN36) at Maili Point.

TracyMail brought news that Squinty (R330), a Ka’ena Pt guy, is back on Kauai, and just got a new V7 bleach. It remains to be seen if he’ll head back this way. Only Squinty Knows !

In the Yesterday’s News department our pal Val sent shots from her Kauai trek yesterday. She found a molting KC (RK28) as well as Rocky’s kids, RF58 & RG58. Thank you Val !!!

Many thanks to Deb, who found Pohaku. We had the call, had to do something so we were a bit late, in arriving to see who was out there per Dana call.

There was Miss Deb, with Binocs, checking out the lovely seal on shore...Pohaku.

Glad she moved from Nanakuli again...YEAH. She looked contented on the sand, basking.
