At 0957 Kea (RN46) would haul out to join Kainoa. They would enter the water for a swim/play session, and haul out to join Aukai & the U/M . The gang all remained together for the remainder of the day.
At 1330 I found Kolohe (RW22), once again on the flats at Lanai Lookout. Gayle called to advise that Kolohe departed at 1732.
A ColleenTxt at 0700 advised that Rocky (RH58) remained at Kaimana Beach, and that Benny was gone from his 2E spot at Queen’s. Email from Christian Young at 0800 advised that Rocky was gone. I’ve received not further word on Rocky as of this writing.
While on the subject of Rocky... for those of you who are not already checking Mark Sullivan’s site: Hawaiian Monk Seals @malamamonkseal Instagram photos | Websta I recommend that you add it to your favorites, and checked it each morning after you read this blog of course. I bring it up because he has posted an excellent piece of video of Rocky munching on a sizeable eel off shore of Waikiki.

Again, while on the subject of video, I came across some YouTube footage yesterday of Benny and a young female (I’ve got a cat on U’ilani , but ??) At Kahe Power Plant, on the west side. Mahalos to posse member and all round good guy, Alan Hong for the ID on the spot. Monk Seals (Oahu, HI)
Team Billand called at 0815 with the report of RIP (RR70) at Maili Point. A 0922 they found Pohaku (RO28), once again foraging off shore of Campbell Industrial Park.
