Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:12 to 2:44 pm aand there were eight seals seen during that time.

The moms and pups were again on LPB:

RH76 Kala and PO11 were on the back Lanikai side of LPB. PO11 was mostly hidden behind RH76 during Marilyn's viewing session.

In the middle of LPB nearer the waterlines was RL12 Aukai and her pup PO12. Marilyn only saw the rear one third of PO12 during her session.

Between RL12 and 1BS was a Juvenile Female. Marilyn thinks this the same seal that was there yesterday. Juvenile to small sub-adult size, light yellow female belly and unsure about tags.

Weaner RU24 was in the same location as yesterday, about 50 feet from the 2BS. He was ID'd by his weaner size, shape and coloration, his two red tags and his light male belly.

Directly down from 3BS were two seals:

Weaaner RU38, weaner size, shape and coloration, light female belly and two red tags.

Unknown Sub-adult: subadult size, dark coat with dark ventral and a lighter umbilicus, and two red tags. Marilyn couldn't confirm if it was a female or male.

RU38 nosed the U/S several times and there was some interaction. then RU38 rolled into the water where she played for awhile and appeared to be trying to get the U/S to join her. Then she hauled out on the other side of the U/S and they went into snooze mode.

Team R&B were delighted to find a seal at Kahe. The seal was RL20 Kalua alone and resting. He eventually made his way to the pond that seems to be a favorite spot. They noted he seems to be getting a lot of scars along his right side.

Next they made their way over to plains to check on the two love birds. They mentioned it was extremely windy this morning, in so they had trouble standing on shore with the two seals.

RH48 Lei Ola and her beau RH32 Kaale were active today. They were rolling around, barking at each other, and whooping it up. Maybe it was the wind, the strong waves or all the people hanging around.
