Team R&B had a three seal day.
Their first sighting was RM31 Kai. He was alone resting on the rocks. They suspect he will be molting soon.
They got a call of a seal hauled up at Plains. They headed out and found KG89 Huaka'i resting. The lifeguards set up a zone for her. They saw her gray G89 tag. She has a scar on her chest area with a dark spot, two line scars on lower side and gill like marking on her cheeks.
Team R&B educated the folks who asked questions. One surfer remembered her story from the news, the female seal who came all the way from Kure Atoll.
Later in the day a second seal joined her but Team R&B were already back on the westside so they didn't have any information.
Lastly they spotted a seal high up on shore at Waikomos. The seal was very dark with lots of green and covered in sand. They could see it had tags but they it was covered in sand.
Then they saw her white nails on her flipper and one white nail on the other flipper. That is what they need to ID RL70 Leina. They believe she is starting her molt. They could see her scar on her neck area and the fur opening up. She was too sandy to see if anything was happening on her belly.
