Marilyn and Diane met up with Lesley today and they checked out Ka'ena Point today.

At Lyman's Beach they found a recently weaned PO9 "Lehua" She was RN58 Luana's pup. When they rechecked at the end of the day, she was still in the nearshore waters near where she was in the morning.

At BB/Tables RL42 Leia and her male pup PO10 "Wai" were mostly in snooze mode. The pup seemed intrigued by a nearby ghost crab.

Near 10-minute beach they found RU04 "Reef" formerly PO6, RL98 Lina's pup) was having great fun in a tide pool. She was doing a lot of rear flipper up maneuvers. She was snoozing when they returned later.

At the entrance to Ka'ena's Pool was RL47 Kamakana. He was in snooze mode.

Some of the Laysan Albatross chicks in the Ka'ena Point NAR have already fledged. The chicks remaining are in the weird looking phase from the remaining chick down.

Team R&B got word of two seals on shore at plains. They headed over and found RH48 Lei Ola with a very big male with no tags. He had no visible scars that they could see so he was reported as an Unknown Male.   

Heading back to their usual route the only other find was at yoks. They found a very cute little seal that they didn't recognize. Finally the little seal moved and they saw the tags T98. They didn't know who she was so they checked in with the posse. Between Marilyn and Lesley they figured out it was RL98 Lina's daughter from last year.  They gave the lifeguards a couple of signs to put out for the time being. To the best of their knowledge this is the first time she made it around the point.
