Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:06 to 2:09 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
When she started viewing there were no seals on shore of the island. She soon saw at least two seals playing in the LPB surge channel. At 12:54 pm the two seals hauled out of the channel. One was an Unknown Juvenile: juvenile size, older brown coat and two red tags. The other seal was one of the Recent Weaners. The weaner stayed on shore for a shore time and then re-entered the surge channel. The UJ snoozed for a while and then re-entered the surge channel about 1:30 pm.
At 1:42 pm, first Recent Weaner RW1 and the Recent Weaner 2 RW2 hauled out of the channel onto the rock flats. The UJ had hauled out Lanikai of the two recent weaners. Then RW1 moved in the Lanikai direction toward the surge channel, then stopped near the UJ. Then RW2 also moved closer to the UJ. They all went into snooze mode.
At 1:56 pm Marilyn noticed that one of the older weaners had hauled out near the 3BS. This turned out to be RU24 who was ID'd by his weaner size and shape, two red tags and light male belly.
