4-17-11 DB Dailies

Kolohe (RW22) would be the only Rabbit Island resident today. I found him on the water front rocks, 60 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet at the right end of the beach.  Two females on surfboards landed on Rabbit Island at 1BS at 1339, and explored the island to the left tip, never aware of Kolohe. They departed at 1353, returning to Kaupo Beach Park. I called DOCARE dispatch at 1345, but there was no response.

Colleen called at 0756 to advise that Irma (R010) had overnighted at Diamond Head. She called again at 1200 to advise that witnesses said that Irma departed around 1000.

Team Billand called at 1108 to report Max (R5EW) far to the west of the Nimitz Jetty. He would enter the water and haul out again at 1114. They called at 1424 from Campbell Industrial Park to advise that their homeless, permit resident posse member reported that there had been 2 animals there all day, prior to the Billands arrival. The guys has become knowledgeable about the animals since so many have been showing up there. He said one was Kermit, and the other was a green animal with a bleach and red tags. Our guess was Makaiwi, but ????????????   The Billands checked in again at 1515 to report R2AW at Tracks.

Dana called at 1111 to advise that volunteer Judy Nelson was with RI37 at "Nude Beach", Mokuleia.

Marilyn and Lesley did the Ka'ena Point trek and at 1040 found Ka'ena (RO40) at the end of the world.
