4-9-11 DB Dailies

The Rabbit Island cast for today was RIP (RR70) at the far left end of the beach, and Buster RV08) near 1BS. For the first time today I was able to see his mottled ventral side now that the coat has filled in, and with his two red tags. . The office will still probably call him an U/M.

At 1146 lifeguard posse member Billy called to report an animal just hauling out to the east end of Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1157 I found Benny (RE74) waiting for me. The boy has been MIA for a while now. He'd last been seen in Makaha on 3-20-11. He remained all day. At 1930 I picked up the rope and left the signs. Benny remains.

Team Billand reported Max (R5EW) fronting #1701 at Nimitz Cottages. They also found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Point at 1352. They reported that she has a new Cookie Cutter wound on her ventral side.

Posse member Jen Christian called at 1000 reporting an animal on the other side of the east end fence at White Plains. Based on her description we came to the conclusion that it was Makaiwi (R4DF). The Billands later concurred.

Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and found RI37, R018 and Ka'ena (RO40) at the end of the world.

Last but not least I had 4 idiots on Rabbit Island today, arriving in two yellow kayaks, The visited from 1331 until 1449. The ranged from 3BS to the right end of the island so they were never aware of RIP at the far left end. They were met by DOCARE at 1515 and promptly busted !
