4-19-11 DB Dailies

On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island at 0950, I found Buster (RV08) and Duke (RA12) together, on the water front rocks , 60 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. I got busy with some bad guys, and didn't notice until 1214 that Buster and Duke were gone. I relocated to the Makapuu Overview at 1314 and from that angle found a single animal rolling in the shallows at 3BS. I returned to Makai Pier and at 1337 found Duke hauling out 40 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. He moved up and spent the rest of the day in snooze mode. I did not see Buster again today.

A DOCARE Incident began at 1154 with the arrival of a yellow kayak with 1 male and 1 female aboard, coming from a Waimanalo direction. . They hauled out just left of the 1BS, and explored first to the left end and then down the beach as far as the Middle Cliff area. Fortunately, I had noticed shortly after their arrival , that the animals were not there. They departed RI at 1230 and were met by DOCARE Officer Lesperance at Kaiona Beach Park at 1300.

Team Billand checked in at 0905 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) at Guard Rails in Maili.  At 0936 they found Noa (R6FI) at Maili Point.  Kermit (R4DG), Max (R5EW, and M&M (R020) were their next finds , all together at Palm Grove, Campbell Industrial Park.

Dera called at 1203 with the report of an animal at Diamond Head. Colleen was unavailabe, since she was at Lesley's 21st birthday party (Parabens pra Voce !!!) in Hawaii Kai, so Colleen's Vice President of Diamond Head Affairs, Rachel, took the call and cordoned of Irma (R010).

Dana checked in at 1439 to advise that new volunteers were with an animal behind their house in Laie. The U/U was said to have red tags, and was possibly a female. Awaiting photos.
