4-13-11 DB Dailies

On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island from Makai Pier, I found Kolohe (RW22) snoozin' on the water front rocks, 60 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. At 1045 on a pan, I found an U/M, and Duke (RA12) just hauling out to the water front rocks, and moving toward Kolohe. There was lots of interaction between all three, and all entered the water at 1053. At 1204 all three hauled out together , 60 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet, where they remained the rest of the day. The Unknown, adult sized male never gave me anything to go on. It's no doubt one of the regular guys, but the first look was too brief, and when they hauled out, the two juveniles were fronting the U/M, so I could never get a decent look at him, nor could I ever get a look at the hind flippers, for tags. Maybe tomorrow.

Team Billand called at 1326 to advise that they had been advised by Dera of an animal on the Waianae side trail to Ka'ena Point. An afternoon email from Dera provided photos of what proved to be CeeCee, (T401) a young male, usually seen at Ka'ena Point. He appears to have a new C/C wound on his throat.

At 1502 Team Billand found Ewa Girl (RS00), Kermit (R4DG), and Max (R5EW) at Palm Grove, Campbell Industrial Park. They two guys were together and Ewa Girl was a bit separate from the boys.

Dana checked in at 1702 to advise that Todd White had reported RI37 at Chun's Reef.

Team Billand reported Benny (RE74) and Irma (R010) at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach.
