Marilyn hiked to Ka'ena Point from the west side this morning. She found six seals at Ka'ena Point which are included in Lesley's report. On her way back home she made a stop on the west side where she found a rather large adult female in a tide pool. She was getting washed by incoming waves and rolled with the water. Marilyn was unable to see any tags and couldn't get a positive ID. She checked in with Team Billand and their best guess was either RL42 Leia or RL12 Aukai.
Team Billand found a seal at the outfall stealing fish like nobody's business. Hmmm can you guess who this could be? Ka'ale of course.
Later in the afternoon RH32 Ka'ale was hauled out a nearby location.
Ka'ale's bosom buddy Kalani was also there on the rocks near him Kalani RN14 wasn't completely alone as he had crabs keeping him company.
At a westside location they found Kolohe RW22 on lower rocks by the waterhole.
RG28 Lefty was on lower rocks. Holokai RG40 was also on lower rocks by Kolohe.
Kekoa RK72 was to the right on lower rocks.
Nalu R3CX was to the right of seal inlet and then moved to upper rocks.
Team Billand had to leave for an appointment when they got a call that a seal was at paradise cove.
After their appointment they headed over and found Da Benny RE74. He was in a zone marked with just signs. The place was packed with people but they were all being respectful while Benny was resting. A volunteer was on site doing her best keeping the people away from the turtles.
