Posse pal Vicki braved the rain and went to Turtle Bay. Vicki was skunked in the seal department but made up for it in the feather department.
Team Billand went to paradise cove before 6 am and spotted three seals laying on shore. It was still very dark to get a good ID but they did their best.
One tag looked to be E42 making that critter da Benny. The smaller seal was RH92 Nalani who stayed long enough for daylight.
The two larger seals kept fighting and left area before daylight. It didn't help any with all the rain.
At 9:30 Team Billand had made a few stops and at beach near the outfall they found RG28 Lefty on the rocks to the left alone.
On an afternoon check RG28 was gone but in his place was Ka'ale RH32 to the right on the rocks. Waves were big and covering him, but he remained.
Just before 10 am at a west side location Team Billand saw Nalu R3CX coming up on rocks in the rain and settled high mid rocks. They turned and saw another critter had landed.
Little RL20 Kalua was there, on lower rocks. They didn't see him before and looked at though he was there all along.
Close to noon time Team Billand went to plains and found Buster RV08 in a zone that the lifeguards had set up. He looked fine, nothing new to report on Buster boy.
Back to the west side checking on Nalu and Kalua about 2:00 pm. They found RW22 Kolohe on lower rocks. His cue ball NB showing on his right side.
Next seal was Holokai RG40 on the lower rocks with the others, snoozing. Getting the tag shot was difficult in that he was facing the wrong way. Based on the small scar on his forehead that was visible and part of a conversation with Diane from the other day.
Kekoa Alii RK72 was on lower rocks to the left, snoozing in the cold chilly air. ** no pictures of Kekoa in email**
Another critter arrived, but not a seal, it was a Muscovie Duck in a pond taking a shower.
