At 0728 I found Sadie & Pup on D#4, at the far left end of the beach. They were all alone today. The most noteable thing about today was how vocal the pup was. Lots of talking. Heat distortion from the north winds made shots difficult.
A Dana text at 0800 advised of “V38" (Buster) on the rocks at Blowhole. Both Marilyn and I covered every aspect of what that could mean, and found nothing. Marilyn called at 0840 to advise that she had found him at Lanai Lookout at “Buster Flats”, on the left side of the lookout. I arrived shortly thereafter, and Gayle & Melanie (she saw the V39 tag) also found him through the day.
At 0907 Marilyn called with the report of an animal at Spitting Cave. She confirmed the Cass (RG06) ID.
At 1105 I got a Lusi Perry text with a shot of somebody at the Elbow, Turtle Bay. The shot was inconclusive, but when her real shots arrived this evening it was most certainly BG (R303). Posse member Vicki was up there late afternoon and saw BG also, and at 1859 saw Holokai (RG40) haul out.
At 1138 Team Billand found RL42 at Makua Cliffs.
At 1256 they called with the report of Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.
Shots from Twogood Kayaks personnel at 1221 showed KC (RK28) at MCBH, possibly Fort Hase Beach.
