Despite both Gayle & I doing multiple checks of the SE quadrant, the only cast seen was on my 2nd look at Rabbit Island at 0952. I found what would prove to be Duke (RA12), Kainoa (RN04) and frustratingly a juvenile female belly with 2 red tags that I was never able to identify. She began and ended the day, hidden behind the boys. Through the day, though she was completely visible, she changed positions very little. All I know is that it was a juvenile female with 2 red tags. It may well have been anybody from Pua to Nani, but ?????? Maybe tomorrow.

At 0620 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) foraging off shore of Maili Guard Rails. No further word.
Also at 0620 they advised that their surfer posse member Rich had cordoned off M&M (R020) fronting the Surf Shack at White Plains. She would enter the water at 0930 for a little orange ball time, and haul out again between T#2 and #1708.
At 1104 the Billands reported Pohaku (RO28) in Nanakuli.
At 1147 the Billands & Eileen found U’ilani (RN36) at the Reef Runway.

At 1311 WP lifeguards reported the arrival of an animal to Tower#2. The Billands would confirm the Benny (RE74) ID at 1335 fronting #1706, WP. He would enter the water at 1550 only to haul out again at 1554 beside M&M. He would do a few ins & outs trying to get M&M to join him no doubt, but in the end she wasn’t goin’ for it, and Benny departed to the west at 1630.
Evening email from Karen Turner brought word , and photos of her La’akea (RK82) encounter at Turtle Bay today. Thank You Karen !
The Billands advised that they are once again on the night shift with M&M at WP. Please check the blog in the morning for they lonnnnng day.
