3-15-2014: Lesley's Update

Kimo Lyman and I did a late afternoon hike to KPt. The weather was gorgeous, tide was very low, albatross were flying everywhere, whales were putting on a great show and we had the point to ourselves
At first we thought we could have been skunked, then I saw 2 seals on some outer reefs.

I finally had the opportunity to meet RW30 (the 5yr old female from Molokai and R020 "M&M" daughter) sleeping peacefully beside RW02 "Kauai PV" (our permanent visitor)
The little albatross we have been monitoring seems to have discovered those funny things on his side. He was stretching  out is wings and shaking them in all directions.

We stopped on our way back out to watch the beautiful sunset from the Big Cove and made it to Birth Beach / Mokuleia in the dark. There was no signs of little RN58 "Luana".
Aloha,  Lesley
