9-15-2013 DB's Dailies: Kea@AD&SB, Duke&Aukai@RI, Rocky@DH, Makaiwi@KDDH, Irma & Ewa Girl@WSK

At 0550 we found Kea (RN46) on the 100 yd rock flats east of the wall. He would enter the adjacent tide pool and at 0652 galumph out and to the west into open water. He then began a swim to the west. We lost him approximately half way through Irma’s in the morning glare. I check the water front rocks and Crappy Cove, but finding nothing returned to AD to take down the cordon. At 0900 I returned to Crappy Cove and began walking the water front rocks toward Sandy Beach. I found Kea in a tide pool at 0913 by just pure luck. He would hang out in a couple of different tide pools and then at 1027 entered the water and began swimming east. He did a brief stop at Crappy Cove, and then continued on . I watched him swim the length of Irma’s and as he approached the AD wall, I relocated. At 1108 he reached AD, and at 1112 he hauled out, 75 ft east of the wall. We redid the cordon and he went to snooze mode. He would relocated slightly at 1325, but remained within the existing cordon. He snoozed away the rest of the day, entering the water at 1804, swimming out and slightly east when last seen.

At 1307 I found Duke (RA12), 70% molted, and Aukai (RL12) together fronting 1BS, on Rabbit Island.

Team Billand found Makaiwi (R4DF) at the Kalaeloa Deep Draft Harbor, early morning. I forgot to note the time.

At 0900 Colleen reported Rocky (RH58) at Diamond Head, but advised that she was gone at 1030.

Team Billand reported Irma (R010) at Wind Sock at 1251.

At 1255 they reported Ewa Girl (RS00) just a tad to the west of Irma also at WSK.

Karen Turner provided today's edition of Mokuleia shots with Mom&Pup.
