December 7, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:08 to 2:06 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Initially up near the cliff at the back of the middle of LPB was an Adult Male: small adult size, brownish gray coat, light brown make belly, two red tags. He later moved in the Lanikai direction and moved into a depression in LPB where there were other seals.
At the edge of the same depression were two seals before the AM joined them.
Closest to the Lanikai side of the depression was RQ32: sub-adult to adult size, newer coat, and Marilyn thinks the applied N on the left hip. This seal later moved near the LPB surge channel and Marilyn never go a ventral view or flipper view.
An Unknown Unknown was also in the depression: probably sub-adult size, brownish coat with a tan ventral, no info on sex or tags. The UU was joined by the AM and at that point Marilyn didn't know
which was which.
Between 3BS and SRI were two seals:
RU38: weaner size, older coat, yellow female belly and two tags.
Initially near the waterline was N32: adult size, presumed male, N32 and girdle bleach seen on the left side, no tags seen.
Later RU38 moved closer to N32.
The third pair of nesting Masked Boobies has a chick who is at least a week old, but today was the first time Marilyn got photos.

When Team R&B first got out there were no seals to be seen. They
waited around for a while and while watching a bird diving for fish, they spotted a seal coming in.  It was RH76 Kala, she surfed right in and the waves flipped her over. Then she just hauled up on the rocks.
Then they spotted Nalu R3CX out there foraging alone. They watched and there weren't any other seals foraging out there today.

They were checking out Kahe when they saw a big seal, thinking it was a female because it was so big. Then the seal moved and it was a male, it was big boy RH32 Kaale. He has been getting some good eats!

Over by the outfall there were three seals foraging again. They first ID'd RH48 Lei Ola, next seen was RM31 Kai. The third seal with the cc scars might be RL08.

Heading over to plains, once again they found the lovely Miss Aukai RL12. Her tags are old and hard to read in the sand. But they knew it was her.

Team R&B made one last check at pokai. They found Kala was still there, now on the edge of the rocks. All was good. They also spotted Nalu out there still foraging.
