6-14-2013 DB's Dailies: Kainoa&RM38@RI, Buster@SC&SB, RK36&Kaiwi@SC, Benny@PC, M&M@KCG,KC@Kualoa

My first pass through the SE quadrant was a zero, but a call from Gayle at 0758 brought news that Buster (RV08) was at Spitting Cave. She reported his departure at 0825. I made the comment to her that Buster would probably show up at Sandy's at 1030 (ha,ha,ha). I was wrong.

At 1031 Ocean Safety called to advise that an animal was just hauling out to Sandy Beach..... Duh !! When I arrived at 1043 I found Buster (RV08) fronting the "Half Point" rocks at Sandy Beach. This is his 2nd consecutive day of this behavior. I cordoned him off, and he has remained the rest of the day. Buster was gone at 1854.
While roping off Buster a guy said that he'd just seen another on at Spitting Cave, 15 minutes ago.
Of course , I followed up on that , and sure enough at 1115 I found RK36 doing 9 minute dives at SC.

I got back to Makai Pier at 1253 and found that M38 had relocated to the left end rock flats.
At 1301 I found what would ultimately prove to be Kainoa (RN04) at Seal Rock Inlet.

Team Billand checked in at 0727 with the report of Benny (RE74) at Paradise Cove. They reported that he appears to have two new lacerations on his head. The last thing that guy needs is anymore scars, but let us see what he has run into.

At 1044 the Billands reported M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds. Volunteer Andrea reported her departure at 1400, however she apparently returned further down the beach, at KCG.

Kimo called at 1818 to advise that Kaiwi (RK96) and RK36 were at Spitting Cave.

Dera called at 1851 to advise that "N14" , KC (RK28)was at Kualoa BP today.

Thanks Andrea for taking care of M and M at Kalaeloa. THanks for making the next Monk Seal zone for her.

I wish M and M wouldnt go out there at Kalaeloa but it is her new Favorite spot to rest. She is hiding out from all those horny males...

We stayed again with her from 3:30 to 7:30pm...as all the fishermen lined up their ULUA poles for the night and next few days. It worries me alot, but, how can you tell a sweet female seal, NO GO THERE EITHER.

Thanks to those who took care of Benny at Paradise Cove as well. Hope the sign situation was solved.

Anyone seen KERMIT R4DG?????? He been gone for eight days today. Hope he is ok...maybe on his EPIC JOURNEY.

My heart goes out to the Volunteers on Kauai on the recent seal found DEAD. I am truly sorry...
