My first look, at 0610 was to Makapuu Beach,
to see if Irma (R010) had overnighted. Sure enough, she had. I redid the cordon
and she has remained all day. My day ended just as it had begun. Irma and I
alone on the beach, in the dark and in the rain. I picked up the stuff at 1915.
Irma remains.
Zeeny&Patrick spent time with Irma today, and while
there ran into a Colombian guy who sketched them and Irma on the beach, in 15
minutes. Kinda' cool !
I got back to Makai Pier for
my 2nd look at Rabbit Island at 0819, but it was just me and the birds until
1020 when Buster (RV08) hauled out fronting 1BS. He remained all day.
Team Billand checked in at
1100 to advise that posse member Clay Gates had called them to report Rocky
(RH58) at Iroquois Point. It was great to hear from Rocky and Clay. It has been
awhile for both.
Clay wasn't done yet. At
1357 he reported what would prove to be T21M fronting the Ewa Beach Shooting
Range, next door to IRQ. This is the first report of T21M over there in quite a
while. He'd been seen mostly at the Marine Base in Kaneohe lately.
Dana called at 1449 with the
report of a call about an U/U at Sand Island, said to have an "upside down N
something bleach. Awaiting a photo, but M&M with an upside down N23 comes
to mind.
Posse
member Dennis Kunkel checked in by email with a report from his Ka'ena Poin trek
today. He went in from the west side and encountered an UU below the trail just
a few minutes in. He also saw 4 animals at the point. He'll be sending photos on
Monday.
Team Billand found RB00 at Electric Beach at 1558.
Buster @ Rabbit Island
Irma @ Makapuu Beach
RB00 @ Electric Beach
Rocky rockstar @ Iroquois Point
T21M @ Electric Beach (thank you Clay)
