At
0615 I found Irma (R010) waiting for me at Makapuu Beach. I cordoned her off,
and she has remained all day. Irma departed at 1721.
At 0645 on my first Rabbit
Island check, I found what would prove to be Kolohe (RW22) up in the Morning
Glory, 40 ft left of 1BS (or the X-1BS). When I got back at 0940 he had
relocated to Seal Rock Inlet. He had last been to RI on 4-3-12. At 1315 he
would enter the water and hauled out at 1322 for a very brief visit with RM38.
He would then return to the water and hauled out again at Seal Rock Inlet where
he spent the rest of the day.
At 0940 on my 2nd RI check I
found what would prove to be RM38, 40 ft left of 1BS. He would remain there the
rest of the day. As stated above, Kolohe attempted to join him at 1322, but a
bark sent the boy on his way.
She wasn't there at
0545....She wasn't there at 0615,.. but when I pulled into to Kaiwi Kove at 0704
there was that all too familiar little butt stickin' out of the Naupaka. Kaiwi
(RK96) was home. Though she has been seen several times at Spitting Cave, and
was seen off shore of Diamond Head, this is first day back at the Kove since
4-11-12. The Elves where giddy with excitement & joy !!! Kaiwi departed at
1839.
At 0954 they found Makaiwi
(R4DF) at Lifeguard Tower #1 at White Plains.
Next they found R018 at
Lanikohonua Beach, near KoOlina at 1000.
At 1412 Team Billand reported
that Benny (RE74) had just hauled out to join Noa & Kerby at Maili Point
.
At 1542 they found 2AW at
Tracks.
At 1554 the Billands reported
RB00 at Electric Beach.
