I was on the road at 0600, but it would be 1018 (and many a mile) before I found my first critter. It was Kaiwi (RK96) at Spitting Cave. She was doing 5 minute dives. She disappeared at 1048, and neither I nor the Elves saw her again today.

At 1143 I found Nani (RK60) fronting 1BS on Rabbit Island. She was the one and only RI resident today.

At 1242 I found Irma (R010) doing 12 minute dives at Blowhole.

Dera and I sent a new worlds outdoor record for the number of calls in a single day, with 8 conversations.

At 0830 Dera called with the report of an animal at the Nimitz Jetty. Vera Cober was already responding and confirmed the Kermit (R012) ID at 0840.

Dera called again at 0926 with the report of an animal at the Keiki Pool at Turtle Bay. Dana would call at 1138 to advise that it was RI37.

At 0953 Dera called with the report of an animal at Yokes. Dana sent a photo from an unknown source, but it was impossible to make an ID based on that camera/phone shot.

Dera called again at 1016 to report that posse member Eileen had called to report Ewa Girl (RS00) at the Reef Runway.

Also at 1016, Dera also advised that M&M (R020) was once again reported at Sand Island. The ID was by her N23 bleach.

Dera called at 1258 with the report of an animal in the shallows near the Kewalo Lab. A Marine Debris person checked and confirm that there was an animal, but at 1400 Dera advised that the animal was gone.

Dera called at 1357 to advise of an animal at Maili Point. Dana reported she had found nobody.

Dera called at 1430 to advise that Eileen had called to report that Kekoa had hauled out to join mama Ewa Girl at the Reef Runway.
