Seal Tidbits

Aloha good people;

Just a couple of things that passed through my email in the last day or two that I wanted to share...
First keep your eyes out for our girl Rocky... she has weaned her pup this past weekend, she'll be coming home to Oahu anytime.

Volunteer Karen Turner has returned to Oahu for the summer season and ready to hit the beaches... She already emailed that she is going to be on the look out for Ua'Malie.  Also with Karen here, we know we have a dedicated volunteer waiting for pup sitting duty.

And lastly to all our blog readers out there.... if you have any announcements, comments, stories or anything monk seal related, just let me know and I will be happy to post it on the blog.

Hey Donna!
Not sure how you wanted us to funnel the news, announcements, etc. to you. There is a Hanauma Bay Thursday night presentation on the Mediterranean Monk Seal coming up on Thursday, Jun 16th. (That is NEXT Thursday.) It starts at 6:30pm in the theater.

Rocky is home at Iroquios Pt.Frank Van steal found her and we went to check who the seal was. It was POSITIVELY RH58!!!!!!!Frank was shocked to see how skinny she was, how grubby. But, no doubt, its her. Welcome back to Oahu Rocky. I wonder what males will be after her soon, when they get her whiff. Benny??? Kermit?? Oh oh....we'll see.
