6-18-11 DB Dailies - (finally)

Mom and the kid were already in the water, fronting 3BS on Rabbit Island , on my initial look at 0627. Also at that time , I found what would prove to be Duke (RA12) snoozin' in the Morning Glory behind Seal Rock Inlet. He would move down and remain all day.
When I got back to Makai Pier at 1013 I found M&M (R020) and pup on the water front rocks, at Right Middle Cliff, 60 ft left of 3BS. They were doing the first of two observed feeds. The rising tide moved them off of that location at 1205. They would haul out fronting 3BS at 1241 to do the 2nd feed. After that... snooze time .
Team Billand called at 0854 to advise that they were responding to a call on a "small animal" at Access #186C, in Ewa Beach. The animal had been run off when they arrived, but they found Max (R5EW) down the beach a bit at Access #187 at 0936.

Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and initially found Ka'ena at 0926. As she was telling me that, 761 came into the front beach and hauled out on the rocks. She was run off twice, and finally hauled out to the back beach, well away from Ka'ena. Dera was advised of her presence, but there were no NOAA folk available today. Her location made it impossible to capture her anyway. Maybe tomorrow ???
