2-21-11 DB Dailies

It was a dismal, gray and voggy President's Day in my world, and probably yours too. I found M38 waiting for me at 0709, tucked into the vegetation behind Seal Rock Inlet, on Rabbit Island. It would take until 1319 to actually get the ID.

RIP hauled out to the right of 3BS, and remained on the water front rock flats all day. I still don't see anything on the left side of is mouth.

On a pan at 1050 I found Duke and Kolohe hauling out together to the right of 1BS. They would remain there together all day. Duke kept bopping Kolohe in the head with his hind flippers each time he tried to making minor position adjustments, but ultimately both settled down and snoozed away the overcast day, with no further interaction.

I had 2 Bad Guys haul out to RI having gotten there via their Stand Up Paddle Board, and landing just right of 1BS. They were on island from 0900 until 0923, exploring the left end and as far right as mid Middle Cliff. Fortunately, they did not see the two animals that were further down the beach. Equally fortunately, they departed prior to the arrival of Duke and Kolohe, since the boys hauled out exactly where the Bad Guys had been. Since it was a holiday, of course, DOCARE does not work, which meant there was a 0% chance of anything like justice happening (that is only slightly less chance than if they HAD been working !)

Team Billand checked in at 0742 with the report of RO28 at Maili Point.
At 0823 they found Irma, near yesterday's location at White Plains again. She would depart at 1433.

Though they found Kermit foraging off shore of Kermit's Reef, at 1020, the fishermen and Limu picker's occupying his spot, made it impossible for the boy to haul out. He would move down the beach bit and haul out at 1045 to yesterday's location , fronting pavilion #1813 at Nimitz Beach.

Dana called at 1157 Dana called with the report of KC in Hauula. I know Diane Gabriel was there, and made the KC call. Diane mentioned posse member Candy Greene there. If there were others there though the day, thank you to one and all.
