2-18-11 DB Dailies

On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island at 0905 I found Mojo just hauling out at 2BS. He would snooze for a bit and the galumphed a few feet right to snooze somemore at the Left end of the Middle Cliff , water front rock, and then enter the water at 1030, only to haul out again further down the beach at Seal Rock Inlet, where he remained the rest of the day. He would be the only RI resident today.
Tracy called at 0720 to advise that the Billands had reported R018 fronting Nimitz Cottage #1945. Charles and the crew gave R018 his second transmitter experience at 1039.

Team Billand reported Kermit fronting #1944 at White Plains at 1119. Barbara called at 1713 to advise that Kermit had departed.  At 1135 they found 2AW at Hau Bush in Ewa Beach.  At 1424 Team Billand found Irma at Kermit's Reef, on the west side of the Nimitz jetty.

Dera called at 1453 with the report of an animal at Ft. DeRussy. Diane Gabriel is responding. Dera called at 1549 to advise that it was Rocky at DeRussy. Thank youuuu Rocky !!.... Diane called at 1830 to advise that she and Don were packin' up. Rocky had just departed. Huge Mahalos to Diane & Don.... Ya' Done Good !!!

Lesley McPherson, along with Rachel Sprague and husband Jon, did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and reported CeeCee, M&M, and T15M at the end of the world. M&M was just departing when Lesley saw her, and her N23 bleach, so no photo op.

Dera called at 1800 with the news that a surfer at Diamond Head has been in the water with Duke. The surfer ID'd him by his N18 bleach. This marks the furthest known travel for Duke, from his Rabbit Island home.
Mojo booking it across Rabbit Island leaving a trail
 Rocky @ fort derussy

this is perfect example of what volunteers do at the beach... keep the seal SPZ up and educate the general public.  Thank you Diane.
Good night Rocky...- Tomorrow Diamond Head or Westward?
