Here's today's update from Auntie Lesley... which made me laugh. At the same time it made me sad, this little seal has grown soooo much in such a short time. To put it in perspective the baby gained I am sure over 100 lbs and my leg hasn't healed yet... I can't believe how much I have missed by not being on site.... but that's when our wonderful group of volunteers come through with the great photos, video and reports. I for one thank you for sharing. ~donna~
The little propane tank is looking like a manatee (she can only roll !!) and there's also a daulphin hint when in the water due to her belly that's totally white. After a quick nap mum went in to the water and barked for 10 minutes till the little princess decide to wake up (VERY MOODY) and go into the water. They had long diving sessions and played a lot.
Aloha,
Lesley

Way cool photos!!!
Wow, what a Gigantic Hippo, this Princess has become. Mom has done a superb job of caring for her.Truly amazing growth, her behavior sounds STUBBORN, sounds like a departing event, any time now. All you Moms and Aunties...fantastic job of caring for Ua Malie!! Long hot hours out there...excellent job to all. I am getting nervous about the weaning...then the job gets even more intense, making sure, Ua Malie does not become human as with KP2, RO42 etc. We should all join in a circle, holding our flippers, bowing our heads, in wishes that Ua Malie moves on to her LIFE AS A MONK SEAL. Good luck Sweet little fat girl. And thank you R5AY for giving us such a delightful chubby GIRL!!!!!!!
